Atlanta, USA - How Commited are You?
June 30, 2008 11:50 amSo, even though I haven’t actually gotten around to getting a new post up for over 4 months now, you’re still around right? You haven’t quite given up on me and are willing to give me a second chance? I’ve got good reasons. Trust me, I always have plenty of excuses. This time though it is truely no more than 50% to blame on my laziness, and the rest to blame on the rest of the world.
I’m sure you understand, you’re sympathetic like that. It really is tough getting a post up while traveling. Imagine the worst conditions possible for writing (ie., the common internet cafe): Misquitos, heat, loud sounds all around, the clock ticking away at your budget, power outages, the beach waiting outside, its almost enough to make a person give up on updateing a website all together. But luckily, you decided to keep track of a trooper, one who knows that you deserve more (and will give him a huge guilt trip when he gets back). You see, this was really a test. A test to see which of you are my true friends and loved ones. Which of you will stick by through thick and thin, even when I’m not at my best. Those that understand that when I lost the nifty keyboard do-dad I was using to write with, it wasn’t my fault, but fate’s.
As a reward to YOU good people: new pictures and soon to be new stories of far away places. Take a look at these fun-loving sceanes from Loas, the amazing temples of Cambodia, and the natural beauty of Nepal. Weren’t they worth the wait? And guess what, I’m actualy going to write up a post or two so that you actualy know what is going on in them. So check back in the near future, and go ahead and set benbonett.com as your homepage agian. We’re back in action.

Hey Ben,
It is good to hear you will start again. By chance I had just checked the site and had planned to email you to tell you to have a good trip to SA and to be careful. So have a good trip and we will all be looking forward to seeing more frequent updates on the continuing saga of your adventures.
Well, look at this, the first person to comment after a long blank spell on your site. Does that mean I love you most?
Take care and be careful, Aunt Jan.
PS I didn’t realize Nepal had that many full moons at one time! LOL
